Common questions
Where do you deliver?
Anywhere a truck can drive. It's part of our turnkey support.
Do you work outside Ontario?
Yes. Apex has been loading gear onto tour trucks across North America for decades. Out-of-province shoots get the same staged kit and the same techs who'd show up across town. Send us your dates and locations and we'll make it work.
What's the minimum booking period?
None. A single shoot day is fine. For runs that go weeks or months, we build a rate that reflects the commitment. Send your schedule and we'll put numbers to it.
Do you require production insurance?
Yes. Every booking needs a Certificate of Insurance naming Apex Sound & Light as additional insured. No policy of your own? We'll point you to brokers who work with film and TV.
What's included in the rate, and are there hidden costs?
Equipment, staging, prep, labour, and delivery are all in the quote. Specialty rigging is quoted separately and upfront, before anything rolls. Final invoices reflect actual hours. Schedules move on a shoot and we plan for it, but extensions happen and you'll see them itemized.
Do you do pre-production consultations?
Yes, and we'd rather you did. A walkthrough before the shoot lets us spec the right kit, flag site issues, and match the tech to your shot list. Send a brief and we'll set one up.
Can I extend a booking once it's started?
Yes, subject to availability. Call the moment you know you need more time and we'll work to keep the kit with you.
What if something breaks on set?
We carry spares. Everything that goes on a truck is staged with redundancy built in. If a piece fails, we've already got the path to keep you rolling.
Can I visit?
We're open daily for regular business. Shop floor visits are by appointment. 1845 Clements Rd, Pickering.
